Evan Mazellan is an artist currently living and working in Detroit, MI. His paintings explore memory, injury, and ownership, lifting objects and materials directly from personal photos and digital media. He grapples with the sought-after transformation found in restoration and surgery. He makes paintings mostly from fragmented, cut and clone stamped images . He earned his MFA in Painting from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, MI (2024).
