Evan Mazellan is an artist who currently works in Metro Detroit, MI. His paintings grapple with privacy, injury, and ownership, lifting objects and materials directly from personal photos and digital media. He explores the sought-after transformation found in restoration and surgery. He earned his MFA in Painting from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, MI (2024). Evan is the Lead Art Advisor at the Progressive Art Studio Collective in Detroit.
